Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of brindle, the brindle hosted services, and pawdelta.com/brindle, provided by PawDelta. You keep ownership of your code and generated documents; paid plans are billed through Stripe; and third-party model providers and export destinations run under their own terms.

Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you (or the organization you represent) and PawDelta ("PawDelta", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of the brindle command-line tool, desktop application, hosted services, and website at pawdelta.com/brindle. By installing, accessing, or using brindle or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. Use of the brindle software is also governed by the Brindle License 1.0, and our collection and handling of data are described in Privacy.

Accounts

  • Free brindle runs on your machine without a PawDelta account. Paid plans and hosted features require an account signed in through Amazon Cognito or your organization's configured identity provider.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, OS keychain entries, refresh tokens, and CI tokens confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • Organization owners and administrators manage seats, roles, policies, and settings for their organization and are responsible for the actions of members they invite.

Paid plans and billing

  • Paid plans (Pro, Team, and Enterprise) are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual subscription basis through Stripe, or under a written Enterprise order with PawDelta.
  • By starting a paid subscription, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method for the selected plan and seat count each billing period until you cancel. Taxes may be added where required.
  • You can manage seats, update your payment method, or cancel at period end from your account page. Deleting your account or organization cancels its subscription immediately. Except where required by law, fees paid are non-refundable and unused time in a billing period is not credited.

Acceptable use

You may use brindle for personal or internal commercial software development in compliance with these Terms, the Brindle License 1.0 (which prohibits offering brindle as a competing managed or hosted service under SCHEDULE-A), and applicable law. You agree not to:

  • interfere with, disrupt, or probe the security or availability of PawDelta's servers, APIs, or networks;
  • attempt to access another user's or organization's account, tenant, encrypted scopes, or data;
  • forge, replay, or bypass license signatures, rate limits, or plan entitlements; or
  • use the service to transmit unlawful, infringing, or malicious material.

Your content and generated documents

  • You retain all ownership rights in your source code, repositories, prompts, configurations, and any generated documents (analysis documents and deliverables) created with brindle. PawDelta claims no ownership over your code or generated documents.
  • On your machine, your source code and prompts go only to the model providers and Git remotes you configure, except when an administrator explicitly publishes an organization profile or rule pack.
  • When you upload or create generated documents in brindle's hosted library (Pro and up), each document and its search index are encrypted at rest per scope (individual user, team group, or organization, including customer-managed KMS keys where configured on Enterprise) so that only authorized members of that scope can read them. You grant PawDelta a limited right to process and store that content solely to provide the features you and your organization enable (such as reading, indexing, search, briefs, sharing within your scopes, and export).

Third-party services

  • brindle works with third-party services that you choose to configure or connect, including AI model providers such as Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (Codex), and Google, and document export destinations such as Google Docs and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • When you export a generated document to Google Docs or Microsoft SharePoint, brindle requests only the Google Drive drive.file scope or Microsoft Graph Files.ReadWrite.All scope and uses your authorization solely to create the exported file you requested, as described in Privacy.
  • Your use of third-party services is subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies. PawDelta does not control and is not responsible for the availability, output, or practices of any third-party service.

Disclaimers

brindle, the hosted services, and all outputs produced by AI agents or the document reader are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. AI models can generate inaccurate, incomplete, or unsafe code, commands, and documents; you are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and verifying all agent changes and generated documents before relying on, merging, or deploying them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither PawDelta nor its suppliers or licensors will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, code, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use brindle or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. PawDelta's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to brindle or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid to PawDelta for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability or one hundred US dollars ($100).

Termination

You may stop using brindle and delete your account or organization at any time from your account page. PawDelta may suspend or terminate your access to the hosted services immediately if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees when due, or use the service in a way that poses a security, operational, or legal risk. Upon termination, your right to access the hosted services ends; sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

Changes

PawDelta may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms on this page and update the date above, and for material changes affecting active paid subscriptions we will provide reasonable notice by email or through the service. Continuing to use brindle after updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
