Tempo

Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 September 2026

Tempo collects nothing. It has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. Nothing you type or record is sent to us or to anyone else. The only transfer is between your own iPhone and Apple Watch, described below.

What Tempo stores, and where

Everything Tempo remembers is written to storage on your own device:

None of it leaves the device except as described in the next section.

iPhone and Apple Watch

If you use both, your running sessions and each session you finish are shared between them, so you can start on one and pause on the other and both keep the same history. That transfer happens through Apple's WatchConnectivity link between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch. It does not pass through any server operated by us, and it cannot, because we do not operate any.

Notifications and speech

Announcements are spoken using the speech synthesis built into iOS and watchOS. Any notifications Tempo sends are scheduled locally on the device by the app itself. No push notification service is involved, and no notification content is sent off the device.

Deleting your data

On iPhone, open Settings → Delete all sessions to erase your history there. The Apple Watch keeps its own copy until you delete Tempo from the watch. Deleting the app removes everything it has stored, permanently. There is no copy for us to delete, and no request you need to make to us.

Children

Tempo is suitable for any age and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date. Should Tempo ever begin collecting anything at all, that would be announced in the app before it took effect — not only here.
