A stopwatch that tells you the time out loud.
Start something, put the phone down, and a voice tells you how long you have been going — every minute, every five, or whenever you decide. No looking at a screen, no arithmetic, no realising an hour later that it was an hour.
Coming soon to the App StoreRequires iOS 18 or later. Apple Watch app included (watchOS 11 or later).
What it does
Stopwatch
Counts up with no finish line, and says the elapsed time at your interval.
Timer
Counts toward a length you set, tells you when you reach it, and keeps going into overrun instead of just stopping.
Alarm
A spoken callout at a time of day, with the same check-ins on the way there.
Four at once
The thing you are deep in, and the alarm telling you when to stop being deep in it. Announcements name the session, so you know which one just spoke.
It keeps talking
Lock the phone, switch apps, put it in your pocket. Music keeps playing, turned down while a session is running, and comes back to full volume when it ends.
On your wrist
The Apple Watch app runs the same sessions. Start on either device and both stay in step — the one you started on speaks, and the watch taps your wrist.
What it looks like
Why it is worded the way it is
Every line is written to be told the time, not told off. “Invoices. Ten minutes in.” Never “you should have finished by now.” Running past your intended time is reported as information, never as a failure — a tool that makes you feel caught is a tool you stop opening.
Privacy
Tempo has no account, no sign-in, and never connects to the internet. The only thing it sends anywhere is your sessions, between your own iPhone and Apple Watch, so there is nothing to opt out of and nothing to delete from a server that does not exist.
