No automatic PRs, wider permissions with org controls, a fast engine start, and a louder Inbox
brindle never opens a PR by itself. It prepares one: drafts the text, runs the full checks, and puts one item in the Inbox. Only your Open PR or Push publishes.
Permissions approve whole families of commands.
An approval covers a family (reads, tests, tool queries, local git, project installs, file edits in the checkout), and it still applies after cd x && ….
The command reader understands literal variables, read-only $(…), loops and quoting.
On a multi-repo session, every attached repo counts as the checkout. brindle's own tool calls across attached repos no longer ask (#298).
A command brindle still can't read asks "Allow once". A Dangerous setting lets them run without asking.
Pushes to release branches always ask.
Org controls. An organization can Block or Ask families and specific patterns. Members see these as locked rows in Settings, and a block appears once in the Inbox. Saving org rules needs the matching account API, which is rolling out.
Connecting providers. At first launch and in Settings, each provider offers Sign in, API key, or Your cloud (Bedrock, Vertex AI, Foundry). Settings › Providers shows each provider's method and health, with Test, Replace, Remove, Renew and Change method.
The engine starts fast after an update. The app now gives the previous build's engine 2 seconds to exit before stopping it, where it used to wait up to 15 seconds and then fail. A stopping engine finishes leftover work within 1 second, and the wait shows what's happening.
Resuming a session no longer shows a black screen (#264), whatever your tmux status bar setting.
Rules you add in the desktop app take effect (#300).
The desktop app:
The Inbox count is a filled pill, and new items are marked.
A finished session's milestone count turns green, with a quiet Close session under it.
Account initials replace the "?".
Engine & health is condensed to one row.
The terminal opens in the session's own checkout.
